Project: Fire Alarm Installation

A project awarded in 2019 by Hillingdon Council to install a new fire detection system at Uxbridge Public Mortuary Kingston Lane Uxbridge UB8 3PN.
The objective of the project was to provide the building with LD2 fire protection in accordance with the requirements of BS5839 – 1:2017 and current Building Regulations.
The scope of work involved the decommissioning, removal and disposal of the existing redundant installation and the supply, installation and commissioning of all equipment required to provide a compliant open protocol fire detection system.
Due to the nature of the site and the intrusive nature of the works involved a carefully planned programme of work was developed which minimised disruption throughout the duration of the project.
Despite onsite restrictions which applied, works were completed on time and within budget to the satisfaction of Hillingdon Council and their stakeholders.
