Case Study: Caroline Court

Located at a property in the grounds of Blenheim Palace, this project involved the combined installation of a new fire alarm and detection system, communal and emergency lighting.

The property comprised 21 flats occupied by elderly and disabled residents and necessitated careful organisation and management to minimize disruption. RGE Services held a pre-start discussion at which tenants could find out about the full extent of the works and were given an opportunity to raise any concerns. Subsequently, weekly updates were issued to outline project progress and provide an open forum for any resulting concerns to be discussed.

Project works commenced in April 2010 and were completed on time and within budget. RGE Services were praised by all parties involved for the efficient and professional manner in which work was undertaken.

Title: Maintenance, emergency repairs and minor electrical installations in corporate and educational establishments

Description of works:
To provide an efficient, cyclical maintenance works program and emergency repairs service, including 24/7 response and minor works on electrical installations within in excess of 300 properties owned or controlled by the council, including: offices, stores, public conveniences, lodges, parks, ferries, libraries, community centres, social services properties, crematoriums, depots, educational establishments and other properties.

Contract overview:
RGE Services Ltd initially secured the contract on a three year term from 2005-2008 and successfully delivered the requisite works for the full duration of the contract. The contract was extended while the re-tender process took place and was successfully re-secured in September 2009 for a further three year period which will run until 2012.

RGE developed strong client relationships throughout the term of the contract and subsequently assisted the client in providing a best value service for all stakeholders.
